Game: Monday Moanin'
Some of you may remember Bob Talbert, a columnist for the Detroit Free Press. He had a column on Mondays called "Outta My Mind on Monday Moanin'"; a play on words because of his southern accent.
So, every Monday, feel free to moan (whining and griping also allowed) about ONE thing--one thing only, please. No posting moans on any other day, save it for next week. Somehow, I think this will carry us through the winter with nooo problem.
So, today my moan is: I'm pooped. I'm picking up the chores usually done by the spousal unit whilst they're recovering from "outpatient" surgery. This will be for the foreseeable future because at the end of the six-week restricted period there is another "outpatient" surgery scheduled for the other end of the body. My moan is: I'm pooped! (Spoiled, yes, which is why I'm now pooped!) mmmoaaannnnn.

No moanin' from me. I finally was able to leave the house yesterday! Granted, I had to shovel my way out but I got out.

No Sandylee you weren't the first to notice WD posted on Tuesday but congratulations are in order - for being the first to disregard a request to hold comments for Mondays.
Ditto - Foz

 The law of semantics :
The first entry is the thread starter
The second entry is the first post to the thread
To rationalize is human - but changes not one whit semantics
Whatever it takes to "win" - you go girl
P.S. I prefer the pink smilie with the red tongue- this one
Methinks WD won't give a RA that you posted today or any other day - she'll consider the source and be .

Yes, WD, I certainly do remember Bob Talbert and his Monday morning column. I miss that 'lovable Hillbilly'.
It is Monday, and I sure have a 'moan' to throw out there. It has to do with an early release program that our Governor is promoting for convicted first degree murderers.
The problem I have is not that the Governor has the power to do this, it's the criteria that is going to be used to implement this process. Putting convicted first degree murderers back on the streets places all of us at risk.
When you consider the state of our economy this would be placing desperate, unemployed psychopaths out into society that has very few ways to make an 'honest living' for it's citizens.
My major point, though, is that convicted, premeditated murderers should not be released out of prison to give them the opportunity to repeat a heinous crime. I don't care who the Governor is, this is against our sentencing guide lines.
That's my Monday Moanin' Moan.
